Yes America, This Really is Happening...Our Potential President Has Marxist Leanings

by Bill Sammon of FOXNews.com

Barack Obama laughs off charges of socialism. Joe Biden scoffs at references to Marxism. Both men shrug off accusations of liberalism.

But Obama himself acknowledges that he was drawn to socialists and even Marxists as a college student. He continued to associate with Marxists later in life, even choosing to launch his political career in the living room of a self-described Marxist, William Ayers, in 1995, when Obama was 34.

Obama's affinity for Marxists began when he attended Occidental College in Los Angeles.

"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully," the Democratic presidential candidate wrote in his memoir, "Dreams From My Father." "The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."

Obama's interest in leftist politics continued after he transferred to Columbia University in New York. He lived on Manhattan's Upper East Side, venturing to the East Village for what he called "the socialist conferences I sometimes attended at Cooper Union."

After graduating from Columbia in 1983, Obama spent a year working for a consulting firm and then went to work for what he described as "a Ralph Nader offshoot" in Harlem.

"In search of some inspiration, I went to hear Kwame Toure, formerly Stokely Carmichael of Black Panther fame, speak at Columbia," Obama wrote in "Dreams," which he published in 1995. "At the entrance to the auditorium, two women, one black, one Asian, were selling Marxist literature."

Obama supporters point out that plenty of Americans flirt with radical ideologies in college, only to join the political mainstream later in life. But Obama, who made a point of noting how "carefully" he chose his friends in college, also chose to launch his political career in the Chicago living room of Ayers, a domestic terrorist who in 2002 proclaimed: "I am a Marxist."

Also present at that meeting was Ayers' wife, fellow terrorist Bernardine Dohrn, who once gave a speech extolling socialism, communism and "Marxism-Leninism."

Obama has been widely criticized for choosing the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, an anti-American firebrand, as his pastor. Wright is a purveyor of black liberation theology, which analysts say is based in part on Marxist ideas.

Few political observers go so far as to accuse Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee, of being a Marxist. But Republican John McCain has been accusing Obama of espousing socialism ever since the Democrat told an Ohio plumber named Joe earlier this month that he wanted to "spread the wealth around."

Obama's running mate, Biden, recently contradicted his boss, saying: "He is not spreading the wealth around." The remark came as Biden was answering a question from a TV anchor who asked: "How is Senator Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?"

"Are you joking? Is this a joke? Or is that a real question?" an incredulous Biden shot back. "It's a ridiculous comparison."

But the debate intensified Monday with the surfacing of a 2001 radio interview in which Obama lamented the Supreme Court's inability to enact "redistribution of wealth" -- a key tenet of socialism. On Tuesday, McCain said Obama aspires to become "Redistributionist-in-Chief."

Obama has managed to cultivate the image of a political moderate in spite of his consistently liberal voting record. In 2006, he published a second memoir, "The Audacity of Hope," that leaves little doubt about his adherence to the left.

"The arguments of liberals are more often grounded in reason and fact," Obama wrote in "Audacity." "Much of what I absorbed from the sixties was filtered through my mother, who to the end of her life would proudly proclaim herself an unreconstructed liberal."

National Journal magazine ranked Obama as the most liberal member of the Senate. The publication is far from conservative, employing such journalists as Linda Douglass, who resigned in May to become Obama's traveling press secretary.

Obama Discusses How to Redistribute Wealth in America

Do we need more proof?

GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) founder is part of Obama's Team

Here we go again... another "questionable" association linked to Barack Hussain Obama.

How many things do we need to see to convince Americans that this guy is not someone we should elect as president?

Christians! You need to WAKE UP! and judge a man by the content of his character.

("I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." ---Martin Luther King Jr. August 28, 1963)

The founder of a group that's been accused of promoting teen-adult homosexual relationships is the Obama campaign's fundraising co-chair for the "lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender" (LGBT) community.

Kevin Jennings is the outgoing head of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), a group known for its efforts to establish so-called "Gay-Straight Alliance" clubs in public schools across the country. The longtime homosexual activist is also playing a prominent role in Barack Obama's White House bid. (Read commentary: 'Obama's connection to GLSEN')

Linda Harvey, president of Mission America, says many parents would be frightened to know that one of Senator Obama's top homosexual fundraisers founded a group, namely GLSEN, which has recommended books that condone sex between men and teenage boys.

"GLSEN believes that there should be homosexual clubs in K-12 schools, that children can self-determine their own sexuality at the grade-school level, that evidently it's fine for children to read and be exposed to many, many child corruption elements of sexuality, including the possibility of having sex with an adult," Harvey explains.

Jennings' position in the Obama campaign, according to Harvey, either shows the senator does not have people vetted very well or actually supports teaching kids "the tactics of revolution."

Is Barack Hussain Obama a Citizen of the United States?

Love for my country compels me to post this video.

Is America about to elect a president who is not even a citizen of the United States of America?

If this is really true, HOW can this happen?

This video begs the question.

U.S.S.A. (United Socialist States of America)

Socialism in America
A Revolution in the Making
by Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries:

In recent weeks it has become more obvious that America is on the yellow-brick road to Socialism. In 1962 Russian Premier Khrushchev said,

"We can't expect the American people to jump from capitalism to Communism but we can assist their leaders by giving them small amounts of Socialism until they awaken one day to find out they have Communism."

He also said that Communism would take over America "without firing a shot."

I am not suggesting that the "movers and shakers" trying to take over many of our capitalistic institutions are secretly planning a Communist revolution in America. Some like the idea of Socialism; others just want to bail America out of financial trouble to stabilize the world. However, more industries are going to fail in the coming months and need further government intervention. When does the spinning wheel stop and where will we be at when it is over?

As it concerns some recent desperate moves to stabilize the economy Joseph Farah asks, " Excuse me? Were you consulted? Do you recall having a national debate about this? Did your congressional representatives poll you on whether you liked this idea? Dare I ask, where would such a move be authorized in the U.S. Constitution? Or has America completely moved away from the idea of the rule of law and the will of the people being the key determinants in our supposedly self-governing society?"

As many of my radio guests and I have said in the last month or two, it is global government that is likely around the corner. Maybe this will be a Socialistic plan. First there will be regional unions and ultimately a one-world system looking to Europe.

Commentator David Limbaugh says, "Maybe I'm being too much of an alarmist, but I'm worried for the first time in my life that the election of a presidential candidate could lead to a fundamental change in our system of government. How many times must history repeat itself before we learn that Socialism and Communism cannot work?"

Karl Marx said, "A new revolution is possible only in consequences of a new crisis." We have a crisis. As a matter of fact, unless the world stock markets stabilize, the entire world could be looking at a financial tsunami. Many nations, including America, could be ripe for being taken over by unsavory political efforts "without firing a shot."

Sen. Barack Obama has declared himself a Socialist. The now-famous "Joe the plumber" brought the truth out. Joe may be the most important non-candidate in this race. He became globally famous in 24 hours. He challenged Obama's tax plans on camera as Joe can't buy a business he wants. It will be unrealistically taxed. Obama responded,
"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success, too. I just think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

No, it isn't good for everybody. Quoting radio commentator John Loeffler,

"As it becomes more difficult for small businesses to function in the poisoned atmosphere of taxes, fees, fines, regulations, and prosecutions, more of the middle class throws up its hands and goes elsewhere or becomes part of the dependent poor. Small businesses will go out of business or operates illegally. As inflation devours savings, people are wiped out. Retirees have a difficult time getting on as their lifetime achievements are destroyed. Most of the middle class slides down the slope into poverty."

Citizens are not likely to run harder and harder and run faster and faster to keep up with the loss of their currency's worth and rise in prices.

The obvious is that Socialism means giving some of my wealth and Joe's wealth to someone less deserving. This is the very reason the founding fathers rebelled against England. They were beholden to big government in England, and we will be if we take this road to Socialism.

This is Karl Marx speaking: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." You will produce what you can using your talents, and then the government will use its power to take your earnings and spread them to others who are unable (or unwilling) to do as well. It isn't by accident that the Soviet Union failed! It wasn't the "worker's paradise," and it won't work in America!

So America could be in for big change. That's the battle cry! As Victor Davis Hanson says in National Review Online, "Obama wasn't born into Rev. Jeremiah Wright's world. Obama could have picked any church in Chicago. He picked Jeremiah Wright's church, and Wright is in to 'Black Liberation Theology.' This is a movement rooted in Socialism and Marxism." Quoting Gary Bauer,

"This is just Marxism dressed up in the gospel of economic justice."

So change we may get; in fact, the entire way in which our country has functioned for over 230 years could be turned upside down! Is this one reason America does not seem to play a prominent role in the last days?

In spite of America's weaknesses, we are still a bright light in a wicked world. When my Jewish grandparents fled the pogroms of Russia right before 1920, they wept tears of joy as their dingy and filthy ship sailed past the Statue of Liberty. They fled a sick Russian system for a land offering freedom and prosperity. And yes, they did prosper, but if they saw what America seems to be morphing into today, they would cry a different kind of tears.

May I suggest that you spend time praying and fasting for America in the next two weeks? All is not lost. But God wants "change," too. He wants to see America become a God-fearing nation again. What will it take?

Awaiting His return,
Jan Markell

A Part of Me That Does Not Want to Know Him...

Good article here from the ThirstyTheologian.com site:

I want to know God. I want to know his nature and his thoughts. It is this desire that drives me to read his Word and books about him by writers who know his Word far better than I. What could possibly be more wonderful, as wonderful, or even remotely wonderful compared to the knowledge of the eternal, infinite, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God who is the source of all things, the epitome of holiness, righteousness, and justice? The answer is obvious: nothing compares. The greatest creations of the human imagination fade into utter insignificance in the glorious light of the ineffable perfections of almighty God.

Why is it, then, that reading God’s Word becomes, at times, a chore to be done rather than a pleasure to be savored? I’m sure I can’t answer that question exhaustively, but I think I know at least part of the answer, and probably the greatest, most insidious part.

Many would put the blame on Satan. Of course, the prince of darkness does not want me exposed to the light. Of course he wants to deceive me, and will do all he can to keep me from God and his Word. But I cannot shift the blame, not even to the father of lies. If God had destroyed Satan immediately after he deceived Adam, my worst enemy would still be right here with me. That enemy is me.

I want to know God, I say again. I want to know him in all his glory. Yet there is a part of me that most definitely does not want to know him: my flesh. My flesh assiduously avoids all knowledge of God. Why? Because knowledge makes demands. My flesh does not like demands. Oh, it likes to make demands. It makes demands on people, on things, on circumstances, and even on God, but it hates demands made on me.

What demands does the knowledge of God make? Knowledge of his holiness demands that I be holy. Knowledge of his sovereign lordship, of his ownership of all creation, including me, demands that I submit to his commands. Knowledge of his love demands that I love him and all that he loves.

The knowledge of God does more than make demands. Just as a light shining into a dark corner reveals the dirt left unseen in the darkness, the light of God’s holiness exposes the filth in my heart. It discloses my unholiness, my intractability, my unloving selfishness. The knowledge of God leads to knowledge of self — knowledge I would rather ignore.

So now, in addition to knowledge of God, I have knowledge of self. This is not a pleasant combination. Knowledge of God brings demands. Knowledge of self, of who I really am, crushes any hope that I can meet those demands. This brings with it yet another demand — that I be humble.

But I am not humble. I am proud and independent. If I was humble, the logical thing to do at this point would be to acknowledge my helplessness, rest on God’s promises, and pray for grace. But very often, my reaction is anything but humble. Rather than praying, I resolve to do better. I will try harder. Can you believe it? I retreat to my own self-sufficiency! The very self-sufficiency that has already been destroyed!

And that is exactly where I would be left, if not for the gracious, electing work of God; if not for the sacrificial redeeming work of Christ; if not for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. God takes a man who is unholy, unrighteous, unloving, whose knowledge of myself causes me to cringe from the knowledge of God, and gently, lovingly, draws me back into a place where I can say, with all my heart, I want to know God.

Gender Ethics

Some time ago a past President of this nation was under fire for ethical impropriety while in the White House. Many cried for his job because he had not only used his position of power in an inappropriate way but he had also lied about it and covered it up with that power. Others cried his personal life was not an issue but his public life and the benefits he was procuring for the nation out weighed his personal weakness. It would seem the public life was far more important to the average American because that president although somewhat beleaguered was able to hold his position. At that time it occurred to me that a rather troubling question was not being asked. A local talk show host while lamenting the lack of discretion our leader displayed, insisted he should not be judged at a public level over his private life. One curious caller asked the host what he thought the most important human social relationship was. The host answered, “Well I suppose that would be the marriage relationship.” His caller then quipped, “How do you believe that a man, who can not be faithful in the most important human relationship, will be faithful elsewhere?” The host was stumped it would seem and then returned, “That would be a moral issue.” His caller then said’ “Good idea, lets discuss morality.” He was met with the same response this blogger has been getting on the same matter. As an older (not old) man I have been of late acutely aware of the dynamics of intra-gender communication. I have over 22 years of marriage found myself challenged by what I have perceived to be a rather sharp difference in the thought process of my female wife and my male self. I have therefore conducted a non, but quasi scientific study, by questioning virtually every husband and wife I met, if they had experienced the same phenomenon. My lack of scientific credentials not withstanding, I found nary a one who did not agree. Most concluded it was not so much personality as gender related. I then boldly went where I perhaps should not have gone and asked each participant whom they thought was better or more necessary. I got quite a few different opinions to that question but after the analytical query, ‘which was dispensable’, a painfully obvious conclusion was drawn that without both, quite frankly in one generation, humanity would likely cease. Cloning is not yet reliable enough. Now I am challenged to ask the question. Is there a component to human sexuality that connects to morality?

What say you?

There is an old saying, “People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. For this reason the mantra, ‘The devil decries evil. Virtue is his guise. To find the hidden villain, listen for the loudest cries.’ This, slightly modified to rhyme, was taken from a blog decrying the hypocrisy of the Republican Party. Such criticism of the Party is in part merited. I have been confounded however by the lack of discernment on the part of either party as to why there should be any cry at all. I recently added a blog to this site on the dynamics of morality. I had hoped some would respond with comments as to why morality should or should not even be discussed. Twenty years ago, Ronald Reagan nominated Robert Bork to be considered for appointment to the United States Supreme Court. He was rejected. His fiery opponents were many, largely over positions that he had taken in the area of affirmative action. Bork had expressed himself as a strong literal constitutionalist and his lack of support for several points held dear by proponents of affirmative action, led one Senator, the Honorable Ted Kennedy, to boldly decry Robert Bork as an ‘immoral man’. I have often wished I had been able at that point to question Mr. Kennedy as to what he meant by his statement, but I did not have the opportunity nor did any other take up the query. My own understanding of morality is such that it is a system of beliefs that not only define a culture but protect it. If my definition is true, can a culture without a clear definition of morality survive?

Morals

While in college close to 40 years ago I was quipping back and forth with some of my classmates on the statement, ‘You can not legislate morality.’ They in their zeal to protect their dogma and in line with their materialistic perspective that facts and values should not be confused indicated the one who would refer to anything as an absolute value in the area of morality would be by definition inaccurate. Morality has no absolutes they insisted. Even though one might perceive a certain behavior, ‘distasteful’, to insist such a perspective could be held unflinchably true was simply wrong. I wondered at that time if perhaps their view was indeed the only exception to their rule. They uncomfortably had no answer to my query. We are faced with an amazing dilemma today. There is the cry, “We need change.” I am certain such a statement is true. Our politicians are far more interested in their reelections than they are in truth it would seem. While the Wall Street melt down can be tied to many factors the denial on the part of some to accept any responsibly in gross denial. Jesus called the religious leaders of his time to realize their ability to help others depended first on their willingness to see their own faults. Moral relativism has without a doubt done serious harm. I assert with confidence that the moral posturing of the Hitlers and Stalins of the world is wrong because it does not include all men. The term men, from my sexist understanding, means all men, both male and female Morality should not be determined by race or religion but by truth and behavior. If the relativist is correct and man is merely a result of non-teleological forces then the survival of the fittest wins and rules. If however one believes as scientist say they all believe in cause and effect, there is a cause that defines it all It is found described in the book of Colossians chapter 1 verses 9 - 20 I find it amazing that so many claim Christ as the lead to follow but do not listen to His words nor the words those who chose to die for Him have written.

"Obama Gonna Change the World"

It's true this video is edited, however, the similarities to the actual video (below) are eerily creepy. The children singing these songs are real.

Twenty-two children from the ages of 5-12 sing the "praises" of their messiah Barack Hussein Obama.

This is disturbing. Check it out:

Here is the actual video from Youtube:
