Gary Gilley on the Emergent Church

This is one of the best overviews of the Emergent Church movement I have read yet, written by Gary Gilley.

i just read that article and i have to disagree - i dont this his article is true or accurate.

i have dozens of books on the emerging church (which was going strong in the 80's, not 90's) and none of them are referenced in the article

looks like he landed on just a few authors and critics.

maybe my emerging church is different from his?

Andrew, you appear to be very knowledgeable about the emergent church.

Why do they feel like they have to question absolutely everything about our faith?

hell, the atonement, homosexuality, the authority of scripture... shall I continue?
