Everyone Knows They Sin so Let's Preach The Positives

Seeker Sensitive churches often minimize sin and depravity, opting instead for positive preaching. "Everyone is well aware of their sin", or so they say. But in this CrossTV.com clip, even convicted felons proclaim their own righteousness.

We used to attend a church where the pastor held that view. He was wrong, of course. The postmoderns are experts at rationalizing away everyone's sins.

Hey Mom I found another one of those sites where everyone acts really self-righteous and never talks about their walk with God they only judge everyone else.

Yuck!

Hey, son, I found that when you accuse others of being self-righteous, it may just be a sign that the topic they are covering hits a nerve somewhere, because by definition, "walk with God" means you are living a wholesome lifestyle where you are sensitive (not oblivious) to wrongdoing. You may also want to go back to your Bible for a review or what it means to judge and how it's used throughout. If we accuse others of things we do ourselves, well.... it's called hypocrisy.

Yuk is right.
