Does God Have a Wonderful Plan For Your Life?

As christians we are misleading people when we only tell them half the truth of the gospel, when we only tell them the easy stuff. This is equivalent to a false gospel and will result in false converts. We are surrounded by messages which only present the happier parts of our faith. This does lure a lot of people in. How will those people be able to hold firm to the faith when persecution comes? This video explains it well:

This is a powerful video. It reminds me of those in Hebrews 11. Thank you for sharing it.

Wow... Just... wow. How can we preach the "jesus I believe you and I receive you" pablum when we know this is what it is really about? I cannot help but think it is a deliberate lie, a shame for the suffering of our Lord.

"On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain."

"So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it someday for a crown."

"Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above,
To bear it to dark Calvary."

"In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
Such a wonderful beauty I see;
For 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me."

"To the old rugged cross I will ever be true,
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;

Then He'll call me some day to my home far way,
Where His glory forever I'll share."

God, have mercy on our land. There is a famine of hearing your word, your truth. Raise up men of truth and a hunger for truth in this land.
