this identifies emergent churches perfectly. Tozer would have a cow if he knew what was going on today!
Interesting Kennyo... what get's me is that the post-modern church is all hung up about whether or not there is truth, even going so far as saying it is allusive. But scripture says the exact opposite... it says that if we are indeed disciples of Jesus, then we should know the truth.
Joh 8:31-32 Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in Him, If you continue in My Word, you are truly My disciples. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
Can we then, according to scripture question those who say they love Jesus and consider themselves to be disciples but still find themsleves asking "What is Truth, and can it be truely found?" Then answer in the negative! Do they know Jesus really... and are they truly disciples of Jesus who said this:
Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
If they cannot say they know Truth and Christ said that He is Truth and that His disciples shall know the Truth, then they don't know Him truely...do they?
If they don't know the truth, then they are not set free are either (according to scripture). And why is this... it is because they don't really know Jesus at all.
A sad affair isn't it!
