Shocking Message!

Hopefully there are still some followers of the heretical Emergent Church movement hitting this website---leftovers from the Tony Jones post, still reeling from it's title (it was kind of good that there was such a huge reaction--it gave me an opportunity to clearly present the gospel message in the follow up posts). If this is you, I would strongly recommend you listen to this audio.

Since those involved in Emergent are very open minded maybe they would find this interesting and enlightening. It would give you plenty of material for conversation.

Just click on THIS LINK to listen to the mp3.

--PS: also don't miss the post Sin is the Horse, Grace is the Cart.

WOW!

An utterly amazing and powerful message that the church in America needs to hear to save them from hell!

This guy sounds like a modern day Elijah or John the Baptist!

if i could only be as good a Christian as Paul Washer! seriously, i love his message about American Christianity, but he sets himself against these kids as though he has it all figured out; as though he's the one that's the "true Christian." to be saved = be like Paul Washer.

while his critique is helpful, why doesn't he offer any helps for discipleship and mentoring programs? the focus on the "sinners" in the youth group is sort of confusing. didn't the Apostle Paul himself say he was "chief among sinners"? didn't Martin Luther say, "We are simultaneously justified and sinner"? is Washer asking for Christian perfection?

as for your previous post, i'm still awaiting the answer to my questions! what is Jesus' list?

Kenny,

While most of us involved in emergent village are always up for a good conversation, that willingness ultimately ends when the conversation is no longer fruitful or dead. I am not sure anyone is listening to you anymore which is a shame because if you had only come across with more love and compassion like Jesus did to the adulterous woman or the woman at the well or whomever he came in contact with, you may have still had an audience. Good luck to you Kenny, May God's favor rest upon you.

Barry,

Thanks for your comments but my number one objective is not to have good conversation with those involved in the Emergent movement. My purpose with this site is to warn those involved with Emergent and ANY other false doctrinal teaching that they should get out as quickly as they can and undertstand what the true gospel is.

I am really not at all worried about how many people go to this site. If I can be used by the Holy Spirit to help someone understand the truth, the Lord will have them reach this site at the right time.

As far as the "love" thing goes, one manifestations of real love is warning.

Roger Oakland says that passion for the truth must be accompanied by compassion for those who are deceived.

"My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth, and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins."
James 5:19,20

Thanks for caring Kenny.

Good points, Kennyo. "Love" is often distorted to mean indulgence (though I don't think that is how Barry meant it), but if we really love people we'll let them know the truth.
